ST. PAUL, Minn.--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced that Olin Thompson has joined the company as vice president of industry strategy. Thompson joined Lawson in Oct. 2006 after spending more than 25 years as a corporate executive for a variety of companies in the application software industry. Most recently, Thompson served as principal of Process ERP Partners where he advised senior level executives in application software companies on product, sales and marketing strategies.
As vice president of industry strategy at Lawson, Thompson is responsible for aligning the company’s strategy and tactics to best serve its primary vertical markets. He reports to Dean Hager, senior vice president of product management for Lawson.
“Olin brings a great deal of industry experience to Lawson, which will help us as we continue to expand our presence in the U.S. and globally,” said Hager. “Olin has been in the industry since the infancy of enterprise resource planning software, and he has remained at the forefront of the industry throughout his career.
