Industry Leaders Join Advisory Board to Help Guide Acumence as the Company Continues Growth
CHICAGO--Aug. 24, 2006--Acumence LLC is proud to announce the formation of the company's first Advisory Board. The Board will consist of a group of industry experts and leaders who will assist in shaping short- and long-term strategies and goals as well as help establish partnerships with key organizations in the industry. In addition, Acumence announces that former AMR Research Analyst Dave Caruso, Cleversafe CEO Chris Gladwin and Wrigley Director of IT Ian Robertson have joined the Board. The Board will meet regularly with the Acumence management team to offer strategic guidance and outside perspectives.

David Caruso, Caruso & Associates
David Caruso is a recognized veteran, bringing more than 30 years of manufacturing and technology industry experience to his clients. David has spent the last 10 years researching software trends and the effective use of technology to support the profitable growth of his clients. Before starting his own firm, David spent 8 years at AMR Research as Senior Vice President & Director of Research. In addition, he has held numerous senior management positions in the software vendor community, including Dun & Bradstreet Software, Powersoft, and Cullinet Software. As part of his previous efforts within the manufacturing industry, David has built numerous ERP systems and his work was awarded a patent in the area of workflow computing and distributed application design.
S. Christopher Gladwin, Cleversafe
S. Christopher Gladwin is currently the CEO of Cleversafe, an organization committed to storing the world's data. Chris and his team developed the Cleversafe Disperse Storage software which allows developers to build their own dispersed storage grid and is freely available. In addition, Chris was the founding Chairman, President and CEO of MusicNow before its acquisition by Circuit City. Prior to MusicNow, Chris invented the wireless thin client and then was the founding Chairman, President and CEO of Cruise Technologies, which became the dominant supplier of wireless thin client technology. Chris is an inventor on over 30 issued and pending patents related to wireless remote interface and Internet service technology. Chris' work has been consistently recognized and he has won 16 industry awards for the products, services and companies he has created.
Ian Robertson, Wrigley
Ian Robertson is the Senior Director IT of Global Shared Services at Wrigley. Ian is responsible for the team's designing, building and operating of all Wrigley's enterprise-scale information technologies across commercial operations, supply chain and all corporate functions. Before joining Wrigley, Ian was with the Gillette Company for six years in a variety of IT management roles. Prior to Gillette, Ian spent seven years with ABB in Europe as a consulting control and information systems engineer to large scale process manufacturers.
