SYSPRO Invited to Speak at 2008 Demand Planning & Forecasting, Best Practices Conference
SYSPRO to Discuss Advanced Inventory Optimization Solution and How Sophisticated Forecasting Supports Lean Manufacturing Principles
2008 Demand Planning & Forecasting, Best Practices Conference
COSTA MESA, Calif.--SYSPRO, a provider of visionary ERP for the manufacturing pragmatist, announced today that the company has agreed to a presentation at the Institute of Business Forecasting 2008 Demand Planning & Forecasting, Best Practices Conference set for April 30, May 1 & 2 at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. The Conference is designed to help professionals who are involved with forecasting and planning acquire the skill-sets and knowledge needed for making intelligent and accurate forecasts.
The invitation to present came on the heels of SYSPRO’s recent announcement of the SYSPRO Families and Groupings module, the second module in a three-module suite comprising the SYSPRO Inventory Optimization solution, which is designed to enable companies to effectively fulfill demand and improve profits.
SYSPRO’s conference presentation will focus on the SYSPRO Inventory Optimization suite as an integral part of efficient resource management and the foundation of enhanced levels of service, improved performance against customer request dates and a better return on equity. In addition, discussion will center on how inventory optimization is fundamental to implementing a demand-driven, lean manufacturing model and how it can be a powerful, competitive tool for small and medium-size companies that operate in markets dominated by much larger firms.
According to Joey Benadretti, president, SYSPRO USA, “Accurate Forecasting is a key element in achieving Lean manufacturing. The real-time nature of SYSPRO Forecasting can help a company reduce stock levels, maximize existing resources and improve profits by producing to customer demand rather than tying up large sums in raw materials inventories.”
The SYSPRO Inventory Optimization suite is comprised of the Forecasting module, released in 2006, the just-released Families and Groupings module, which collects and aggregates common inventory stock codes into sophisticated categories to predict and forecast business inventory more accurately, and the soon-to-be released Inventory Optimizer module.
SYSPRO’s more thoughtful approach to adopting new technology, such as web services and SOA platforms, reflects the desires of its buyers who are driven by business needs and not by the latest headlines. SYSPRO calls its buyer landscape “PragmaVision” ™ - pragmatic, but visionary ERP executives that are driven by a desire for smart, but aggressive market growth.
