COSTA MESA, Calif.--June 15, 2006--SYSPRO, a leading producer of enterprise software for SMB manufacturers and distributors, said the company has climbed more than a dozen slots in the 2006 VAR Business 500 rankings, a listing of the top North American solution providers.
The just released 2006 VAR Business 500 puts SYSPRO at 325 based on SYSPRO 2005 revenues of $55.3 million. In 2005, SYSPRO was ranked 338. That same year VAR Business Magazine named SYSPRO "ISV Vendor of the Year."
SYSPRO has climbed nearly 100 points in the VAR Business 500 list since 2001, having been ranked 409 that year.
According to SYSPRO USA President Joey Benadretti: "SYSPRO's continuing advance in the VAR Business 500 list is particularly gratifying since SYSPRO's growth has been entirely 'organic,' unlike many software companies that have grown through acquisition. SYSPRO's growth is the result of numerous factors, perhaps the most significant of which is that SYSPRO remains an independent, highly focused software developer intent on expanding the breadth and scope of a single product line, SYSPRO enterprise software. SYSPRO is also an advocate of ongoing education that not only serves to make SYSPRO customers more proficient in the use of SYSPRO software, but which furthers the expertise of the SYSPRO VAR channel and the channel's ability to provide top support.
"SYSPRO's climb in the rankings is also an affirmation of the extensive R&D investment that SYSPRO continues to make annually to develop technologically superior solutions for the midmarket. In fact, the ability of SYSPRO software to serve as the foundation of Lean manufacturing and Service Oriented Architecture is exemplary of the ways in which SYSPRO software continues to enable SMB manufacturers and distributors to be more competitive in their respective industries."
The upward move in the VAR Business 500 rankings is the latest of several recognitions for SYSPRO this year. In May, SYSPRO was the only company to be named a finalist in two AeA award categories, Company of the Year and Most Innovative Product. SYSPRO USA CEO Brian Stein was also named one of 10 "CEO Visionaries" by Start-IT Magazine.
