Industry's First Process Improvement User Community Offers Opportunity to Share Best Practices, Explore Common Process Issues

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--June 28, 2006--Savvion(R), the industry's leading business process management (BPM) company, today announced the industry's first process improvement user community. The Savvion ProcessXchange gives people an opportunity to connect with a community of interest devoted to business process management. With just one click, join others online to learn about solutions to process improvement challenges, and discuss best practice strategy and execution. The Savvion ProcessXchange is open now at www.processxchange.com.

"The Savvion ProcessXchange is truly a 'by the people for the people' forum where everyone can share what works, laugh about what doesn't, and learn from others who have successfully improved process -- including driving BPM -- across their organizations," said Shawn Price, president and CEO of Savvion. "BPM is about enabling people to be more effective and the ProcessXchange does this by allowing users to contribute models that have worked for them, but also download process solutions created by colleagues. We encourage everyone to participate because there is no better way to learn than from those around you."

"We have more than 320 processes in place at the University and we see the Savvion ProcessXchange as an excellent opportunity to share these models and gather new ideas on how to improve processes as well," said Iftikhar Nadeem, advisor, information strategy, and project manager for ERP at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. "We essentially modeled the University with Savvion and understand the importance of putting a process in place and then sharing best practices with other BPM users."

To kick off the Savvion ProcessXchange, Savvion is hosting a "Show Us Your Models" contest for examples on the best way to get things done. Savvion will award the best, the funniest, and the worst processes modeled using the Savvion Process Modeler, which is easy to use and free to download. Just download our 20-minute guide on how to use the Modeler, and download the free software at www.savvion.com/startnow. Community users will judge the processes, and three winners will each receive $1,000 for the best rated processes in the following categories:

Best Practice Process for Real Business Improvement -- Innovative companies get it right. Show us a best practice process that is working for your organization now, or give us one that you have recommended to your organization that hasn't been accepted. The community will vote based on the most innovative, time-saving, cost-saving, efficient process that their organization could implement tomorrow.

Funniest Personal Process -- Show us the most creative process from your real life -- preferably non-work related. Have a great process for planning a wedding? Or have you unlocked the secret steps to training your dog? The community will vote based on humor, originality, and creativity.

Stupidest Organizational Process -- Give us the dumbest work-related process you have seen in a past or present job that hinders job performance rather than helps it. Does it take five or six approval forms just to go on vacation? The community will vote based on the complexity and overall stupidity of the processes you must endure.

Entries and voting are ongoing. Winners will be decided in each contest category based on their rating as of midnight 12:00 a.m. (PT) September 30, 2006. Winners decided by the community votes will be announced in October 2006. To log-on to the process exchange and learn more about the contest, go to www.processxchange.com and join the community today.
